Sky has beautiful coloring, a nice head, big jaw, small ears.
Sky was the easiest going stallion I have ever been around. His personality is clownish. He is gentle (a little on the lazy side), easy going with a laid back attitude. My 9 year old son who is only 50 lbs could jump on him bareback without a halter in the pasture. Sit on him while he is laying down. NO LIP CHAIN WAS EVER REQUIRED !!!! Sky was shown very little when he was a youngster and did very well. He much prefers the trails in which he will go through, over, under and around ANYTHING. With his quiet attitude he is a joy to ride.
Sky has many champions (modern & foundation) in his pedigree some of which: Abdull’s Pok-A-Son, Herndon’s Pok-A-Son, Nugget Jim, Bright Eyes Brother, J-R Ewing, Abdull, Jr, Bright Early Nugget, I’m a Big Leaguer, Rock Star.
My good friend Millie was looking for an easy going horse, something that her entire family could enjoy. Millie has an autistic son, Stevie, so they needed a quiet horse. Sky was not being used much for breeding due to the economy. He also wasn't being used much for riding since we had so many others to work with. He was such a wonderful Stallion we figured he would be an exceptional gelding. He was sold and gelded in June of 2008. Sky has lived up to our expectations. He now lives a much happier life, being able to go out and play with Millie's other horses.

Blue Rock is one of the few Appaloosas with grulla coloring that displays such beautiful markings. He has 4 white socks, a blaze and a blanket with spots. He displays all of the dun characteristics.
Blue Rock Star was shown both at Open and ApHC Shows during 2006. He was the Tarheel Appaloosa Association Reserve Champion in Yearling Longe Line and received 2-1/2 National Points. He is very well behaved and kept the same quiet mannerism at every show we went to. He was very consistent. And I never, ever carried a longe whip into any of our classes!
Blue Rock was gelded and sold.
